Digital recorder RC10 is a specialised, programmable, microprocessor device equipped with (in one-board version functional sub-assembles):
  • 256kB of internal memory and real-time clock,
  • interaction with user,
  • string sensors operation,
  • analogue sensors operation,
  • impulse sensors operation.

Recorder RC10 Device is supplied with 220V and internal accumulator 12V. Accumulator during recorders work is supplied with current <0.2A. Device has a consumption of 8.0W of energy and can work without power supply up to 30 hours (energy consumption depends on number of connected sensors).

In recorder, real-time clock and external data storage power maintenance systems are applied. In case of power failure, real-time clock and programmed operational recorder parameters are stored for 30 days. When power supply will be available again, digital recorder will start functioning automatically.

Data can be registered with variable, programmable period within 2-60 minutes.

Wind velocity measurement is continuous. Recorder reads data every 10 seconds. From this set of data average velocity and maximum velocity are calculated.

Wind direction is measured every 10 seconds. Received results are grouped into 2-quarters sets. From a half containing most of results average direction and variability sector are calculated. Variability sector of wind direction in case of 0m/s velocity gives 0 and 360 values.

State of impulse sensors (spray pan) is checked every second. As a result of measurement, number of state changes (from 1 to 0 or vice versa) in measured period is recorded.

String sensors measurement is realised every minute for about 15 seconds. Every sensor is measured twice. In case of similar results, the average is stored. In case of measurement discrepancy, third measurement is made and two similar results are taken to calculate the average. In case of three different measurements a measurement error is signalled.

Measurement of platinic and analogue sensors is made every minute for about 50 seconds. Recorder makes 5 measurements for every sensor, discarding the most extreme and stores the average.
