1994 TRAX elektronik was founded by three partners-graduates AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Faculty of Electronics, Automatic and Electrical Engineering: Andrzej Moryc, Mariusz Tomecki and Leszek Turczynski under the name:
PPU TRAX elektronik Civil Law Partnership located at 31 Obo¼na street, Krakow.

The formation of the company was a result of join between two civilian business partners: "Trax" and "TTM elektronik" having a very similar profile of activities and cooperating with the Krakow University of Technology since 1989.

The first weather stations were developed in acordance to the guidelines of the Institute of Hydrology Department of Environmental Engineering, Krakow University of Technology and the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

Assembly and installation of the first meteorological stations:

- for Krakow University of Technology (station in Wielka Puszcza and Stró¿a),
- for IMGW (Institute of Meteorology and Water Management) in Warsaw (40 stations in Poland: 20 meteorological stations, 20 hydrological stations),





- for AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow,
- for PAN (Polish Academy of Sciences) - research station in Spitzbergen
- for Maritime Authority in Gdynia (5 stations monitoring shipping channel Bielinek - Szczecin - ¦winouj¶cie)




- for SGGW (Warsaw University of Life Sciences) - stations in Czarna and Warsaw,
- for Jagiellonian Univesity in Krakow (stations: Krakow, Dobczyce, £azy),
- for University of Wroc³aw (stations: ¦nie¿ka, Jaskinia Nied¼wiedzia),


- for ¦wiêtokrzyski University (stations : ¦w. Krzy¿, Jaskinia Raj, Góra Malik).





Establishing cooperation with
- IBDiM (Road and Bridge Research Institute) in Warsaw; project of ASPG (with glaze detection) station
- IBL (Forest Research Institute) in Warsaw; project of forestry meteorological station

*The first road meteorological station was installed in Poczernin. Because there was no specialistic software make it possible to acquire the data remotely, the station was directly connected to a PC via serial port.




1995 Construction of 44 road weather stations ordered by the Regional Directorate of Public Roads in Warsaw (now GDDKiA in Warsaw), and 13 stations for the ZOM (Road Administration Department) in Warsaw,




Construction of seven hydrological stations ordered by the Polish Geological Institute in Warsaw,






Construction of forest stations ordered by IBL (Forest Research Institute), University of Silesia, Wigry National Park, Wolin National Park




1998 Development of a weather data transmission system using emergency communications column Krakow - Myslenice (4 TRAX elektronik and 2 VAISALA stations) thanks to cooperation with a Swiss company ASCOM.
1999 Development of dispatcher software based on a diagnostic model delivered by director of ZOM (Road Administration Department) in Warsaw. The application is analyzing real-time measurement results and uses weather forecast. The possibility of modifying the algorithm and supplying it with new parameters (sensors) makes the software fully customizable.

Development of real-time communication system based on GPRS
2001 The company changed its name to:

2002 Deployment of Flood Monitoring and Warning System for District Government of ¯ywiec.






Implementation of the Fire Guards system for RDLP Szczecin (State Forests) and IBL (Forest Research Institute) in Warsaw.


2003 Due to increased volume of production the company moved its office to new location,
54 Truszkowskiego street, Krakow.
2006 Development and construction of the Integrated Road Information System using the Internet.

Accomplishment of:

- Highway A4 section: Wroc³aw - Legnica - Krzywa (88 km)
- Highway A4 section: Wroc³aw - Nogowczyce (162 km).

Both systems systems consist of road weather stations, traffic measurement stations, weighing stations, cameras and variable message signs displaying weather and traffic parameters.
